One of the four men serving time for the murder of a baseball player from Yonkers will be eligible for early release in December

Michael Nolan was 23 years old when his life was cut short by a bullet in a drive-by shooting outside a Yonkers Burger King in September 2015. Nolan was a prospect for the Oakland Athletics.

Garth Cole, also 23 at the time, was the getaway driver for the gunmen. He’s serving a five-year sentence for criminal possession of a weapon, but come December, he may be eligible for an early release.

The possibility led the Nolan family to start a petition to keep Cole behind bars.
