Danielle Butin is the founder of the AFYA Foundation, a Yonkers-based nonprofit.

The group is among the first to respond to natural disasters and provide badly needed and potentially lifesaving medical supplies.

AFYA is coordinating with the Bahamas Consulate office and is preparing boxes of needed supplies to ship as soon as possible.         

AFYA is looking for volunteers to help sort supplies, donate supplies or make a financial donation.
