NEW ROCHELLE:#NaisanagellySanchez had three court appearances this week: a Felony Hearing on February 22, 2023, in #Yonkers City Court; on the morning of February 23, 2023, in #NewRochelle City Court; and the afternoon of February 23, 2023, in the Opportunity Youth Part in New Rochelle City Court.
YONKERS: At the Yonkers Felony Hearing before Judge Arthur J. Doran, III on February 22, 2023, the open docket of Assault—2, a D Felony, (CR-04055-22; assaulting her mother) was reduced to Assault – 3, an A Misdemeanor and combined with a second docket, Assault—3, an A Misdemeanor (CR-04054-22, assaulting her mother’s boyfriend).
Naisanagelly Sanchez was arraigned on the reduced charge; and pleaded guilty to one count of Assault—3, an A Misdemeanor in full satisfaction of both dockets.
She is due back for sentencing on July 10, 2023.
There was a sidebar discussion between the attorneys and Judge Doran, which indicated a negotiated plea deal might result in a sentence of 5 years of probation.
She was given non-monetary bail conditions, ROR’d but remanded back to Westchester County Jail due to a “hold” from New Rochelle City Court.
Sanchez appeared in New Rochelle City Court on the morning of February 23, 2023, before Judge Jared R. Rice.
She was released from custody at the Westchester County Jail to home confinement at a women’s shelter with an ankle monitor….
The location was disclosed in open court, but we are not providing details of the shelter at this time.
Sanchez was 19 when she was arrested in November by New Rochelle Police and in June by the #YonkersPoliceDepartment.
She turned 20 while incarcerated in the Westchester County Jail.
Judge Rice reassigned her case out of “adult court” to the Opportunity Youth Part in New Rochelle City Court…..
