Man arrested in Yonkers mail theft


YONKERS – A traffic stop in the City of Yonkers has resulted in the arrest of a man wanted in connection with an ongoing investigation into theft of mail and check washing.

Jamie Guzman, 30, of the Bronx, was wanted in connection with the crimes stemming from an investigation involving Yonkers Police, the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office, the US Postal Inspection Services, and local law enforcement agencies.

Guzman was charged with the felonies of criminal possession of a forged instrument, identity theft and grand larceny.
