CALLING FOR A RECOUNT: Republican Legislator Gordon Burrows filed a lawsuit on Monday to ensure all votes were counted in the November election for Westchester County District 15.

Legislator Gordon Burrows opponent was Bronxville resident Ruth Walter, was declared the winner after the vote with a 202 votes lead.

Gordon Burrows is insisting that the remaining 480 unopened absentee ballots be counted, but Ruth Walters’ camp thinks he should concede the races to the democrat.

Gordon Burrows has served his district, which covers Bronxville and part of Yonkers, for 14 years and narrowly beat Ruth Walters in the previous election.
