Yonkers PD make another arrest in “Operation Trick-or-Treat”

YONKERS — “Operation Trick-or-Treat” continued with the arrest of Elvin Gomez on Wednesday.

He was one of the six remaining suspects in the police department‘s major drug crackdown, dubbed “Operation Trick-or-Treat,” that has now yielded 26 arrests of street- and mid-level drug dealers. They have been charged with felony criminal sale of drugs.

During the investigation, undercover officers bought over 400 bags of heroin and 40 grams of powder and crack cocaine, as well as PCP and prescription drugs.

The months-long operation was built on complaints, reports of drug sales, undercover police work and intelligence, Police Commissioner Charlie Gardner said during a news conference Tuesday.

None of the suspects were working together, Gardner said, and the arrests came from all over the city, with the highest concentration coming from the Getty Square area.

Police are still looking for five more suspects:

  • Pierre Powell
  • Carl St. John
  • Damien Richarson
  • Alejandro Diaz
  • Cecil House
