More than 5,000 pounds of food are going to those in need just in time for Thanksgiving

A Bee-Line bus in Yonkers was filled to the brim with tons of food over the weekend. Today, the community helped to unload the bus in Elmsford and provide well over 6,000 meals for people across Westchester County.

The event benefits the county’s food bank and was made possible by three different organizations.

This holiday season’s Stuff-a-Bus food drive is the first time Westchester County Government’s SMART Commute Program, Stop and Shop and Feeding Westchester worked together to fight hunger in Westchester County.
