A winning second place Powerball ticket was sold in Yonkers and three other second-prize tickets for the Jan 23 Powerball drawing were sold in the Hudson Valley, along with another seven in New York City.
Each ticket is worth a guaranteed $1 million.
In the Hudson Valley, the $1 million tickets were sold at:
- Acme No. 2499 Greenburgh, 103 Knollwood Road in White Plains
- R & J Food Corp, 274 S. Broadway, Yonkers
- Spring Valley Wholesales Inc., 35 Lawrence St. in Spring Valley
- Stewart’s Shops No. 357, 54 Vassar Road, Poughkeepsie
In New York City, the seven winning tickets include six of $1 million and one of $2 million.
The jackpot Saturday was $20 million as the game reset after Wednesday. A Maryland ticket hit one of the largest prizes in the game’s history at $731.1 million.
The odds of picking the correct Powerball grand prize numbers are one in 292,201,338, which doesn’t change even if more players buy tickets when the jackpot is enormous.
