FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Yonkers Police Investigate Fatal Shooting on Cliff Street

PRESS RELEASE: Just after 9:00PM on July 17, 2021, members of the Yonkers Police Department responded to the area of 53 Cliff Street in the confines of the 3rd Precinct on a report of shots fired.

YONKERS: Responding officers located a victim at that location with an apparently fatal gunshot wound. The area was cordoned off as units initiated a criminal investigation.

Detectives from the Major Case Squad, Crime Scene Unit, and Digital Forensics Unit are currently continuing that investigation.

No arrests have been made at this time.

The victim is identified as an 18-year-old resident of the State of North Carolina. The investigation is ongoing at this time and more information may be released as it becomes available.
