BITTER IN YONKERS: Ron Matten, who ran for City Council President in 2021, and was considering challenging Mike Breen in a GOP primary in June for the 5th council seat; is the campaign manager, campaign treasurer and the man behind Ron Schutté’s effort.

GOOD BYE YONKERS GOP: #RonMatten sent an email to the #YonkersGOP leaders, dated January 5, 2023, saying that he was resigning his position as Second Executive Director of the Yonkers Republican City Committee.

VOTE FOR MAYOR RON: Ron Matten, further explained in his email to #YonkersRepublicans that he was going to spend the next four years “working on his brand” and “build alliances across party lines”, with folks like NYCD16-Indivisible‘s Eileen M O’Connor, so that he can run for mayor in 2027 if #YonkersCityCouncil Woman Corazon Pineda Isaac fails to defeat Mayor #MikeSpano this year.
