  • The suspicious substance that closed a Yonkers intersection today was muriatic acid, a common household cleaner, police said.

    Police have reopened Yonkers Avenue at Prescott Street.  The intersection had been closed for more than two hours while police and firefighters investigated. The intersection was reported reopened by 10:15 a.m.
