Families of the victims joined city officials at the 9/11 waterfront memorial to remember their loved ones. The Police Emerald Society Bagpipes played “Amazing Grace” to open the solemn observance. The names of the city’s 26 victims are on plaques at the memorial alongside a sign that says, “Yonkers will never forget.”

First responders say they were called to a home on Webster Avenue for reports of an unresponsive infant. Officials say the baby girl was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead. The cause of death is not yet known. So far there have been no arrests.
